The inviting back yard, planted in 2012, utilizes small scale plantings for maximum color, scent, and habitat value as the perimeter for an outdoor room. The modern front yard, planted in 2014, uses clean lines and open space between native plantings to emphasize form and texture with bright splashes of color. Underground infiltration pits and a permeable walkway capture rainwater onsite. Design: Oakley Gardens Photos: Philip Otto Photography
