Started in 2009, this all-native front yard began with restoration in mind. Coastal strandplants (mulefat, buckwheat, ambrosia and camissonia) were grown from locally-collected seed. Over time the palette has expanded with desert and Channel Island species. The year- round color pairs perfectly with the craftsman-style home. Design: Andrew Chaves
